Tite Kubo Artwork

The Artist whose work i really admire would be the work of Tite Kubo. Kubo is well know for his Manga series know as Bleach. Although I haven't been following the story for very long, i find it extremely intriguing. Not only is the storyline insanely awesome but the artwork is amazing as well.
This particular characters name is Yamamotto. He is one of the strongest characters in the series and also one of the most laid back. You can see in the drawing just how calm he is despite missing an arm. The detail that Kubo put into the face really brings out his age and gives him a wise kind of look.
This next drawing really makes me feel depressed whenever i look at it but at the same time it is a great example of the skill possesed by Kubo. Obviously it is meant to give off a more saddening tone due to the tears and the gloomy look of the character. I beleive at the moment that in this drawing, one of the main characters has been gravely wounded and is shedding tears because he was unable to protect those under him.
Either way the amount of detail that went into shading and facial expression really makes me wish i was as skilled as Kubo.
This last picture is of one the more evil figures of the series. The figure is depicted with devil like horns and long freaky looking hair. Kubo purposefully shades the front of the figures body to make it seem more mysterious and evil. Another thing i've noticed is how lanky the being is. It really makes it seem more skeleton like and gives a more menacing look.
Kubo was clearly attempting to make his readers feel threatened by this figure. If you look closely enough at its face, its eyes are not visible and it has tattoos all over its body.

The pictures that I have posted were hand drawn with one of your everyday .07mm mechanical pencils. I used my phone to capture them as images and save them to my computer. Each one was drawn on generic copy paper and hasn't been altered in any way shape or form. Unfortunately I lacked the ideal lighting to take a sharper picture so if it is somewhat hard to see, then i apologize.
The idea behind the three illustrations is mostly random. A lot of the time I simply draw whatever pops into my head. However, they all share a the same type of clothing. It is very different from modern attire probably because they are from an earlier era. They all seem very serious as well, as though they are on a mission of some kind. These of coarse are just ideas and sketches and are completely left up to ones imagination.

Welcome

Hello my name is Ryan and welcome to my blog. I am a freshman in college and enjoy nearly every aspect of art. I draw a lot and take pictures of stuff that I find interesting. In my spare time I sometimes edit videos to my favorite music, and occasionally, my not so favorite music. Therefore The Goods will feature some of these various drawings, photos and videos. I am by no means an expert at any of these three subjects so feel free to leave any kind of feedback or critique. I am always open to suggestions and ideas. Thank you and have a good day.
